Hi, I’m Barbara Franzino,
the creator of SoulCare Healing.
I’ve studied with many world-renowned teachers and traditions, including John Barnes’ Myofascial Release, Anusara Yoga, Distance Healing From The Core, and Yoga Nidra Mediation. I have worked as a physical therapist for 30 years, and opened my myofascial release physical therapy practice, SoulCare Physical Therapy, in 2014. One of my passions is helping people heal from pelvic pain (childbirth, postpartum conditions, and pelvic floor dysfunction) and find peace and joy in each day.
I understand how hard it is to navigate women’s health care because I’ve done it myself. I struggled for many years with endometriosis, had countless doctors dismiss my symptoms, and lived with a lot of pain and unanswered questions. I had to advocate for myself for a long time before anyone listened to me. I recognized that if I was going to heal myself I had to step outside the current system. I discovered that what is needed is a new approach to care. An approach that guides the body to change its patterns and rewire its response to pain. An approach that allows women to feel empowered, connect to their bodies and navigate a compassionless healthcare system.
I’ve always considered mental well-being as important as the physical, and I spent my physical therapy sessions talking through my clients' emotional struggles, connecting these physical pains to there life experience. The power of listening and being heard is at the heart of SoulCare’s approach. The more someone listens to their body with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment, the more profound the healing.
My Vision for SoulCare Healing
I created SoulCare Healing to help you connect with your body and mind. An approach that allows you to understand your pain and its pattern. A path to begin to create new awareness and patterns so that the pain is no longer a factor in every thought you have. Healing should be gentle and compassionate. My approach explores the source of your pain and unease and the path to releasing through meditation, mindfulness, movement, and other healing modalities. Together we will navigate the complex world of women’s health care and wrap you in the resources you need to be successful.
Whether it is a recent physical or emotional trauma or one that has been sitting with you for a long time, you can access the power within yourself to move these restrictions. As these patterns or blockages are recognized, you can uncover a deep inner peace and softening of the body.
